No additional coloration or contrast is created, and adjustments to exposure are not required while using this filter. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, this filter includes multiple layers of anti-reflection coatings. This filterĀ is designed to mount onto a lens with 55mm front filter threads.Ā It isĀ made of optically pure glass, parallel plane ground and precisely annealed, so the full performance of the Leica M lenses is retained even with a filter attached. The UVa filter primarily performs the role of protecting the front element of the lens, and can be left permanently attached.Ā
