Profoto Hardbox

Profoto Hardbox

The Profoto Hardbox is the exact opposite of a softbox. It eliminates stray light and reduces the size of the light source. This allows you to create a light that is rich in contrast and is very similar to direct sunlight with deep sharp shadows and pinpoint-sized highlights. This look replicates direct sunlight with excellent contrast. Additionally, the hardbox works with optional barndoors or an adapter that can hold grids, filters, or a snoot.

The hardbox is compatible with all Profoto light heads. When used on lights with a built-in reflector, such as the D1, D2, B1, and B2, the effect is not as strong as it would be with a bare-bulb head.

Features:
  • Creates a light that is very similar to direct sunlight
  • Max light output at 2 m with 2400Ws @ ISO100: f/32 (on ProHead)
  • Accepts the same accessories as the standard Zoom Reflector
  • Designed for years of everyday use
